O'Hara Doubles Through Lally

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante
Ian O'Hara
Ian O'Hara

Omaha Eight or Better

Chip leader Jaswinder Lally raised from the button into Ian O'Hara's big blind, which O'Hara defended.

On a flop of {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, O'Hara led out for over half of his remining stack. Lally said "I have a bad hand, but I have to", and raised to put O'Hara all-in. O'Hara called.

Ian O'Hara: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}
Jaswinder Lally: {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Following the runout of {2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, O'Hara's six-high straight was best for high and low, doubling him up to over 400,000.

O'Hara Folds to a Shove

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Ian O'Hara
Ian O'Hara

No Limit Hold'em

Ian O'Hara is currently the second shortest stack at the final table, and opted to preserve his remaining chips when faced with a bet for his tournament life.

O'Hara raised on the button to 50,000 and was called by Adam Kipnis in the big blind.

On a flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, Kipnis checked, O'Hara bet 30,000, and was then check-raised all-in by Kipnis for his remaining 220,000.

O'Hara folded to preserve his short stack.

Nathan Gamble Eliminated in 7th Place ($9,768)

Seven Card Stud

A monster hand of Stud went down that saw Ian O'Hara send over all but 240,000 of his chips to Jaswinder Lally. The former had made a {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flush and barely bested the {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}{x-Spades} flush of O'Hara.

In the next hand, Lally brought it in with the {5-Clubs} showing and the short-stacked Nathan Gamble completed. Christopher Linder raised it, Lally folded, and Gamble got it in for 135,000 total. Linder called and the hands were tabled.

Nathan Gamble: {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds} / {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds} / {k-Hearts}
Christopher Linder: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Clubs} / {q-Clubs}

Gamble got it in with jacks only to run into Linder's kings. Linder improved to two pair on seventh while Gamble failed to get there. With that, "surfbum" saw his quest for a third gold bracelet come up short in seventh place.

Back to Back Aces Propels Lally Up Leaderboard

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud

After just dragging a pot with a full house including aces in the hole, Jaswinder Lally just pulled the trick again in a hand with Ray Henson.

Jaswinder Lally: {x-}{x-}/{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Ray Henson: {x-}{x-}/{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Lally made it two bets on third street against Henson, then bet each subsequent street with Henson finally folding on sixth.

Henson showed Lally {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} as he folded, and Lally replied with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}.

With his recent rush, Lally soared toward three million chips.
