Welcome to Day 2abd of the World Series of Poker Main Event

Main Event Bracelet
Main Event Bracelet

The 2,892 survivors from days 1a, 1b, and 1d will join together in the Brasilia and Pavilion rooms at 11:00 a.m. local time Tuesday to continue their journey towards the most coveted prize in poker; the WSOP Main Event bracelet and the 2021 World Champion of Poker title.

There will be no shortage of star power in the massive field, Mustapha Kanit already has a pair of high-roller final tables at this year’s WSOP and takes the chip lead into the day with a stack of 363,500 thanks to his performance in Day 1a.

Steve Foutty (1b – 287,000) and Adedapo Ajayi (1d – 340,900) are the other chip leaders from their opening days, who’ll start their day two among the top ten counts.

Plenty of other notables will unpack large bags to start the day including Canadian Alex Livingston (319,200), who finished 3rd in the 2019 Main Event. Former European high-roller scene regular Fabian Quoss, who plays more recreationally these days, enters the day with 273,800 chips.

Today’s Main Event action at the Rio will be unique, as for the first time ever, players will have the option to either enter today’s day 1f with a full 300 big blind stack at blinds of 100-200 with a 200 big blind ante, or late register into level 6 of Day 2abd with 400-800-800 blinds and a 75 big blind starting stack.

Players in Day 2abd will play five more two-hour levels, with a 75-minute dinner break after Level 8 (approximately 5:45 pm local time).

PokerNews will have complete coverage of all the World Series of Poker Main Event action from every room in the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino until a winner is crowned on Wednesday, November 17.
