Final Table Action

The six-handed official final table got off to an action-packed start with the first elimination happening within minutes. Matthew "HuniDeGrande" Stone found himself all in and ahead with kings against queens of Andre "RiderStrong" Nyffeler but when the board ran out with runner-runner cards to make a straight for Nyffeler, it was the end of the road for Stone as he exited in sixth place.

Soon after, Michael "BrockLesnar" Holtz was all in with a short-stack and he was called by both Porbandarwala and Tristan "Truqs" Wade. Play was checked down and the nines of Porbandarwala took the pot to send Holtz out in fifth place.

Stanley "stanman420" Lee fell in fourth place when his two-pair was outdrawn by the flush of Porbandarwala. Wade was also eliminated in third place by Porbandarwala when he got jacks all in against the flopped straight and could not improve.

Heads-up play started off with Porbandarwala having a 4-1 chip lead on Nyffeler and it looked like it could be over fast. However, with two double ups Nyffeler found himself almost even with Porbandarwala and all in well ahead with top set of kings against the middle set of queens. The board ran out with a straight for Porbandarwala and it was the runner-up finish for Nyffeler, scoring Porbandarwala the victory and gold bracelet.

The next tournament on the schedule – Event #5: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo Deepstack – will take place at 4 p.m. PDT on Thursday. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will once again be reporting all the action, so be sure to tune in then to see who captures the next 2022 WSOP bracelet!
