Hellmuth Loses to Matusow; Busts to Ohel
A-5 Triple Draw
Phil Hellmuth lost the vast majority of his stack to Mike Matusow when he could not beat the of Matusow.
"You needed a four for the wheel?" Matusow asked but Hellmuth gave no answer. What followed was the all-in of Hellmuth for 9,000 and Naoya Kihara raised, Randy Ohel called.
On the first draw, Kihara and Hellmuth discarded one while Ohel took two. Kihara bet and Ohel called.
The second draw was patted by Kihara, Ohel took two once more and Hellmuth discarded one. Kihara's bet was once more called by Ohel.
After the final draw, Kihara patted and so did Ohel, while Hellmuth discarded one card for the third time.
Kihara's check was met by a bet of Ohel and the Japanese reluctantly folded.
Ohel tabled the and Hellmuth tossed his cards into the muck, gasped a very brief "so rough" before chatting with Matusow for a few moments and heading out of the tournament area.
