Gorodinsky Takes a Narrow Lead

Level 23

Limit Hold'em

Brian Rast raised from the button and was called by Christopher Claassen in the big blind. Both players checked the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop and Claassen then bet the {6-Clubs} turn and {2-Spades} river. Rast tank-called the final bet and mucked when Claassen tabled the {a-Spades}{5-Spades}.

Rast then opened in the cutoff and called a three-bet by Mike Gorodinsky on the button. On a flop of {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, Rast check-called a bet and led the {q-Diamonds} turn, which was called by Gorodinsky. The {8-Diamonds} fell on the river to pair the board and provide a potential flush draw.

Once Rast had checked, Gorodinsky bet and received a reluctant call. Gorodinsky turned over the {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the nut flush to drag in the next pot and even pull ahead of Rast.

"You are fuckin lucky as fuck, I pulled the one in ten river check," Rast mentioned in table chat.
