Greene Hits A Miracle River to Chop

Level 35 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Nicole Limo Greene
Nicole Limo Greene

Nicole Limo Greene opened to 1,000,000 and Michael Lin called to see the {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop.

Lin checked and Greene bet 1,500,000. Lin raised it up to 4,200,000 and Greene called to see the turn {10-Hearts}. Lin checked again and Greene fired out 5,500,000. Lin moved all in for a couple million more and Greene called.

Michael Lin: {10-Spades}{5-Spades}
Nicole Limo Greene: {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

It was a huge cooler for Greene as her trips were way behind the full house of Lin. The {5-Diamonds} peeled on the river though, creating a chop for the massive pot.

James Little Eliminated in 15th Place ($15,821)

Level 35 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
James Little
James Little

Just after the dinner break James Little was first to act under the gun and he decided to put his 6,750,000 chips in the middle. Hung Tran called while all the other players folded, so the cards were tables and Little was at risk of elimination.

James little: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Hung Tran: {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

On the flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} Little was still way ahead with his pair and was also blocking Tran's straight outs, but the {7-Diamonds} turn gave Tran trips, a gut punch to Little.

Now Little was drawing thin to only an 8 to win but unfortunately the {j-Clubs} river did not deliver and Little was knocked out of the tournament in 15th place for a payout of ($15,821)

Samitti Eksarunchai Eliminated in 16th Place ($15,821)

Level 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Samitti Eksarunchai
Samitti Eksarunchai

Stanislav Snitsar opened from under the gun to one million and was called by Samitti Eksarunchai from the hijack, Nicole Limo Greene from the cutoff, and Raj Vohra from the small blind.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Vohra donk bet for 1.6 million. Snitsar folded and Eksarunchai shoved for his remaining 9.95 million chips.

Greene waited a minute before re-shoving her stack. Vohra folded.

Samitti Eksarunchai: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Nicole Limo Greene: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Eksarunchai's top pair was drawing to a better full house, quads, a runner-runner flush, and a runner-runner straight to Greene's set of nines.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} to give him a flush draw but the {4-Clubs} gave Green the massive scoop and sent her to a hair under 41 million.

Quoc Hoang Eliminated in 17th place ($15,821)

Level 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Quoc Hoang
Quoc Hoang

Hung Tran, who is far and away the tournament's chip leader, shoved from the cutoff.

Quoc Hoang, who was only sitting on 1.6 million chips behind after paying his big blind and big blind ante, said "I have to play with any two cards here" and called.

Quoc Hoang: {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Hung Tran: {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} giving Tran a pair of fives and Hoang a straight draw.

The turn was a {3-Diamonds}, which didn't change anything.

The river was the {10-Hearts} giving Tran the win and taking his chip stack to 45.5 million.

Anirudh Mudimela Eliminated in 18th Place ($12,767)

Level 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Anirudh Mudimela

Anirudh Mudimela raised all in from middle position, and Nicole Greene called on the button. The two players were heads up going to a flop, with Mudimela at risk.

Anirudh Mudimela: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Nicole Limo Greene: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

But the {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop was a dream for Green, with top pair and the nut flush draw. The {9-Clubs} turn was the nail in the coffin for Mudimela, as Greene's flush had him drawing dead and even though he made trips with the river {9-Diamonds}, it wasnt enough.

Mudimela was eliminated in 18th place for a payout of ($12,767)

Tran at 42M Chips After Busting Mandavia

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

With already 8.5 million chips in the middle on an {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board, Hung Tran overbet jammed from the small blind for Ankush Mandavia's stack, which was well over 10 million.

Manadvia sat in contemplation for a long time and had the clock called on him prematurely. He then continued in thought until the clock was enabled and the director gave him 30 seconds to act.

With the director counting down to three, Mandavia made the call but was drawing dead.

Ankush Mandavia: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Hung Tran: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Tran already had the nut flush and his stack surged to 42 million. The {2-Diamonds} completed the board.
