Huge Crowd Turns Out For Day 1b of the Millionaire Maker
After 3,546 players bought into Day 1a of Event #37: $1,500 Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold'em on June 17, an even larger turnout of 4,429 players chose Day 1b to start their quest for a 2022 World Series of Poker bracelet here at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas. Only 963 of those players who started this Day 1 with high hopes managed to make it through to Day 2.
Dozens of stellar names bought in while late registration was open. The lure of a seven-figure top prize was enough to entice such luminaries as JJ Liu, Kenny Hallaert, four-time WSOP bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi, recent bracelet winner Daniel Weinman, and Kathy Liebert to the Millionaire Maker tables.

The likes of Christopher Gu, Alain Bauer, Nada Siddik and the inaugural Wynn Millions champion Andrew Moreno not only punched their Day 2 tickets but did so with chip stacks that place then at the summit of the chip counts.
Of course, there were more players who busted on Day 1b than made it through to Day 2. It was the end of the road for Mustapha Kanit, Shaun Deeb, Guillaume Diaz, and Matt Berkey among others.
Day 2 commences at 10:00 a.m. local time sharp on June 19 and sees the survivors from Day 1a and 1b merge to create a field of 1,701. The blinds on Day 2 start at Level 12, meaning players are paying 1,000/2,500 and a 2,500 big blind ante. The plan is to complete another ten levels, with a 60-minute break after Level 17, which is approximately 7:00 p.m. local time.
