Lally Hangs On for a Big Pot

Level 31
Jaswinder Lally
Jaswinder Lally

Limit Omaha

Brad Ruben raised from the button and Jaswinder Lally three-bet from the big blind. Ruben went for the call.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Lally continued his aggression with a bet, Ruben called again.

On the turn {j-Clubs}, Lally bet once more, but now Ruben raised in position. That didn't shed Lally, he called.

Last card, the {9-Spades} landed. Lally checked, and Ruben thought for a while before checking behind.

Ruben, the first to show, flipped over {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. "Needed a club or a queen."

Ruben didn't have it beat, though, and mucked his cards.

"Do you fold if I bet?" asked Ruben.

"No, this is a limit game," laughed Lally.

Jorge Walker Eliminated in 5th Place ($25,056)

Level 31
Jorge Walker
Jorge Walker

Limit Omaha

Ben Yu raised from the button, Jorge Walker re-raised from the big blind, and Yu re-raised enough to put Walker all in for the 85,000 he had left.

Jorge Walker: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Ben Yu: {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}

Walker was ahead with his aces, but Yu picked up some outs on the {10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. He made trip tens on the {10-Clubs} turn to take the lead, and Walker couldn't connect on the {2-Clubs} river as the one-time chip leader hit the rail in fifth place.

Yu Has the Ace

Level 31

Limit Omaha

Jaswinder Lally raised on the button and Ben Yu called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and Yu check-called a bet.

Both players checked the {a-Spades} turn before Yu led out on the {7-Hearts} river.

"Did you hit the ace," Lally asked as he called.

"Ace and a five," Yu answered, showing {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades} to take the pot from the defending champion.

Kihara Draws one and Bests Yu

Level 31
Naoya Kihara
Naoya Kihara

No-Limit Hold'em

Naoya Kihara raised from the cutoff to 170,000 and was immediately raised by Ben Yu to 400,000 on the button. Kihara thought for about a minute before deciding on the call. He left himself with about 800,000 behind going to the draw.

Both players took one card. After seeing what he was dealt, Kihara checked and waited to see if Yu would put another bet in. After thinking for quite some time, Yu checked behind.

"Jacks up," said Kihara, and showed {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Yu mucked and Kihara took down the pot.

"Do you call a shove?" asked Brad Ruben.

Kihara gave no response, just stacked the chips and smiled.

Lally Accidentally Raises and Wins

Level 31

Badacey

Jaswinder Lally limped in from the small blind, then called when big blind Naoya Kihara raised. Both players drew two.

Lally checked to Kihara, who put out a bet of 120,000. Lally intended to call but put in too many chips. The floor was called over and it was ruled he had to raise to 240,000.

Kihara called and they checked down through the final draw.

Lally showed {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for an eight-seven low and a Badugi, and Kihara mucked.

Yu Fills Up on Kihara

Level 31

Omaha Hi-Lo

Blind versus blind, Naoya Kihara made it 240,000 pre-flop and Ben Yu defended.

Kihara slowed down and checked when the flop came {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}, then called when Yu put out a bet. Kihara again check-called a bet on the {6-Clubs} turn.

The river came the {k-Clubs} and Kihara checked over to Yu for the third time. Yu bet and Kihara leaned back in his chair and let out a loud sigh before eventually calling.

Yu turned over {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} for a full house, threes full of sixes, to win the pot.
