Zhong Busts Two, Then Doubles Margers

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Yufei Zhong, already with one WSOP final table in 2022, had Jeremy Wien all in for his last 12,000 and another player all in for 22,000 on a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

Zhong showed {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for flopped two pair, Wien had {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, and the other all-in player had {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for top pair and flush draw.

The {7-Spades} turn improved Zhong to a full house and left Wien drawing dead. The river was the {k-Diamonds} and Zhong knocked out both players.

The next hand, Zhong three-bet from the button to 4,500. Greg Margers, in the big blind, initially tried to call the original bet before being informed Zhong had raised. He then tried to move all in.

The dealer told Margers he had already called and had to take back his all-in bet and all three players saw a flop of {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Margers this time shoved for his last 8,500, the original raiser folded, and Zhong called with some hesitation.

Margers showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, while Zhong had {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and didn't improve with the {7-Clubs}{3-Spades} turn and river, to double up Margers.

Margers' son Tavish, a WSOP circuit ring winner, is also in the field today and they made a last-longer bet for Father's Day.
