Dan Zack Eliminated in 8th Place ($488,095)

Level 21 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Dan Zack
Dan Zack

Alex Foxen raised to 600,000 in early position and Dan Zack shoved for the third time in a row, this time for 6,250,000 on the button. When the action came back to Foxen, he snap-called to put Zack at risk.

Dan Zack: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Alex Foxen: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The flop came down {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Zack paired up to take a sizable lead in the hand. The {j-Hearts} on the turn gave Foxen some straight outs to go along with the aces he now needed instead, and he drilled the {9-Clubs} on the river to make a straight and knock out Zack.

With that, Zack was the first casualty of the $250k Super High Roller final table and had to settle for eighth place.

In the next hand, Sam Soverel raised to 675,000 on the button with {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Zack three-bet shoved {k-Spades}{j-Spades} from the big blind and Soverel reluctantly gave it up.

Steven Flops Set in Three-Bet Pot

Level 21 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Sam Soverel opened to 600,000 with {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Martin Kabrhel three-bet to 1,500,000 with {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. In the cutoff, Brandon Steven looked down at a red pair of jacks and went in the tank. He then cold-called the three-bet from Kabrhel. Soverel gave up his ace.

Steven caught a third jack on the {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop and Kabrhel checked to him. Steven bet 3,700,000 and Kabrhel folded rapidly.

Mateos Gives It Up on the Turn

Level 21 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Sam Soverel raised to 600,000 from middle position with the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Adrian Mateos defended his big blind holding the {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The latter check-called a bet of 300,000 on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and then checked his flush draw for a second time after the {8-Spades} turn.

Soverel kept the pressure on with a bet of 1.25 million and that did the trick as Mateos folded.

Soverel Makes Two Pair on Ivey

Level 21 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Sam Soverel
Sam Soverel

Sam Soverel raised to 600,000 from the cutoff with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Phil Ivey defended the big blind with {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Both players caught a piece of the {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, with Ivey hitting top pair with a straight draw and Soverel flopping bottom two. Ivey checked, Soverel bet 700,000, and Ivey called.

The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and Soverel stood up to get a better look at Ivey's stack. The ten-time bracelet winner checked to the one-time champ, with the latter firing a second shell worth 1,115,000. Ivey once again came along with a call.

The {3-Clubs} on the river brought a fourth club and Soverel quickly checked behind after Ivey had checked. Soverel tabled the winner to move up to 10 million.

Holding {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} Dan Zack open-shoved for 3,630,000 from the small blind and Martin Kabrhel went in the tank with {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. He folded after about thirty seconds.

"I had calling hand, but I don't want to bust you," Kabrhel muttered.

'Big Huni' Shoves the Button, Soverel Calls Off

Level 21 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

Action folded to Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen on the button and he moved all in to put the pressure on the shorter stacks in the blinds. Sam Soverel was in the small blind and called off for 3.25 million while Dan Zack got out of the way in the big.

Chris Hunichen: {a-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Sam Soverel: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The {9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop gave Soverel a set and he locked it up on the {7-Clubs} turn. The meaningless {2-Clubs} was run out on the river and Soverel shipped the double.
