Peters' New Stack of Chips Falls to Pieces with Aces
Level 12
: 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Aleksejs Ponakovs opened to 80,000 from under the gun and Peters three-bet to 320,000 on the button. Martin Kabrhel flat-called from the big blind only to have Ponakovs four-bet shove all in. Peters thought for a brief moment before calling off his stack of around 2,800,000. Kabrhel folded and the remaining two hands were tabled.
David Peters:
Aleksejs Ponakovs:
Peters was in great shape to score another big double up but the flop of gave Ponakovs a few outs to a straight. The paired the board on the turn but the on the river was exactly what Ponakovs was looking for.
