Hernan Salazar Eliminated In 12th Place ($10,367)

Level 24
Hernan Salazar
Hernan Salazar

Limit Hold'em

Down to a shortstack, Hernan Salazar defended his big blind after a raise from Kijoon Park, first to act.

His last few chips, Salazar invested them after a bet from Park, on a {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop.

Hernan Salazar: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Kijoon Park: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

"Oh, nice hand !" said Park before the turn {5-Spades} and especially the {k-Spades} on the river. Park just caught a top pair to take the lead and eliminate Hernan Salazar from this tournament.

Akkari Shortens Guagenti

Level 24
Andre Akkari
Andre Akkari

Limit Hold'em

Andre Akkari raised in first position and was three-bet by Nick Guagenti in the small blind.

Akkari called to see a flop of {8-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}, then faced an immediate bet from Guagenti. Akkari called.

On the turn {5-Diamonds}, Guagenti bet again and was once more called by Akkari.

The river pairing {j-Clubs} saw one more bet from Guagenti, but this time he was met by a raise by Akkari.

Guagenti gave his decision over a minute's time before tossing in a call to see {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} from Akkari for rivered trips.

Guagenti frustratedly tossed his cards into the muck as the large pot was pushed to the Brazilian star.

Park bet all the way and showed {a-}{7-}{4-} and it was the winning hand. Paur only had {5-}{7-}{2-} and Park just increased his chip lead after that hand.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated in 13th Place ($10,367)

Level 23
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Limit Hold'em

Picking action up on the flop with approximately 140,000 in the pot on a flop of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, David Bach checked his big blind to Daniel Negreanu who bet from the cutoff. Warwick Mirzikinian folded on the button and Bach came back with a raise, which Negreanu called.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and Negreanu called a bet from Bach.

On the {4-Clubs} river, Negreanu just called another bet, leaving himself just 20,000 behind.

Bach showed {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a flopped straight, and Negreanu mucked his hand.

On the next hand, Negreanu was all-in in the big blind for that last 20,000.

Kijoon Park raised the button and was heads-up with Negreanu.

Daniel Negreanu: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Kijoon Park: {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Negreanu was well ahead, but as much of his summer has been, his luck failed him as on the {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} runout, as Park drilled a king on the end to three-out Negreanu and send him to the payout cage.

With just 12 players now remaining, another redraw has taken place with the remaining two tables moved to "The Horseshoe" in the shadow of the mothership.
