Welcome to Day 1 of Event #57: $600 Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em
The first day of 2022 World Series of Poker Event #57: $600 Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em is slated to kick off at 11 a.m. local time today, June 27th, at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
Last November, 22 year old Cole Ferraro came out on top from the field of 3,923 players to capture the WSOP bracelet and the first place cash of $252,491, a career best for the young player. Ferraro defeated Sami Rustom in heads-up play to capture the title. The win came just two weeks after Ferraro finished runner up in the $1,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em. He also put together a deep run in that year's main event, finishing 109th for a cash of $50,900. Already active in the 2022 World Series, he's cashed in five different events, with his best run coming in the $1,000 Pot Limit Omaha event in which he finished 19th for a score of $9,636.
Play today will consist of 17 levels, each lasting 40 minutes, with a 20 minute break after every third level and a 75 minute dinner break after level 9, expected to be around 5:40 p.m. Level 1 will begin with blinds at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante.
Players will start the day with 30,000 chips and may reenter only one time. Late registration is open until players return from dinner break, expected to be around 6:55 p.m. Those who are fortunate enough to bag chips at the end of the night will return to play tomorrow, June 28th, at 12 p.m. with their eyes on the WSOP gold bracelet, which will be given to the winner at the conclusion of play on Day 4.
