One of the largest field non-Holdem events of the 53rd World Series of Poker kicks off Friday with the start of Event #7: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better.

Aside from last year, which saw some limited fields due to travel restrictions and the pandemic, this event has historically drawn over or close to 1,000 entries year after year, generating some massive prize pools and top prizes.

As such, the event attracts the crme de la crme of the mixed game world, which will be no different this year as they gather in the Paris ballroom for Day 1.

Connor Drinan is the defending champion, having defeated a still strong field of 607 runners to take home his second WSOP bracelet.
