Salazar Applies Pressure

Level 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Aden Salazar opened to 500,000 from the button. Sandeep Pulusani, the small blind, and Esther Taylor, the big blind, both called.

The {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop was checked through to the {k-Hearts} turn. Pulusani led out with a pot sized bet of 1,750,000. Taylor got out of the way but Salazar came along for the ride.

Pulusani checked the {3-Hearts} river over to Salazar, who potted for a bet of around 5,600,000. Pulusani would be at risk should he make the call. Evidently not ready to go home yet, Pulusani made the laydown, giving the pot to Salazar.

"Good bluff," Taylor told Salazar.

"Everyone always thinks I'm bluffing," he responded.

"That was a bluff," Taylor stated matter of factly.

"How are you so sure?" Salazar posited while stacking his chips.

Pulusani Chips Up on Salazar

Level 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

In the small blind, Aden Salazar raised to 675,000 and Sandeep Pulusani decided to call in the big blind.

The flop brought {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and the duo checked to see a {2-Diamonds} on the turn. Salazar bet 425,000 and Sandeep Pulusani quickly made the call.

The {a-Spades} completed the board on the river and Salazar sent 750,000 in the middle. Pulusani tanked for some time and tossed a chip for the call. Salazar tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} for two pair with threes and Pulusani showed the winning hand with {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for a straight.

Level 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Aden Salazar raised on the button to 550,000 and picked up a call from Esther Taylor in the big blind. The flop revealed {2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Taylor quickly check-folded after Salazar continued to bet for 600,000.

Big Bets Can't Find Action

Level 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Aden Salazar opened from the button for 800,000. Esther Taylor potted for 2,525,000 from the big blind, and Salazar called. Taylor Potted again on the {3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop, putting herself at risk by doing so. Salazar wasn't interested, however, and made the laydown.

No-Limit Hold'em

A couple hands later, it was Taylor who opened from the button, now for 600,000. Aden Salazar three-bet to 2,200,000 from the small blind, but was unable to find any takers as Taylor folded.

A couple more hands later, it was again Salazar who led out for 600,000, but this time it was Sandeep Pulusani who moved all in, for 5,675,000. Were Salazar to call and lose the pot, he and Pulusani would be neck and neck in chips. This was a risk Salazar was not willing to take, as he made the laydown after a couple minutes of tanking.

Vincent Lam
Vincent Lam

Pot-Limit Omaha

Aden Salazar raised on the button to 550,000 and Vincent Lam potted in the small blind for 1,825,000. It came back to Salazar who quickly made the call.

All the chips went in the middle on the flop {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Lam shoved for around 2,600,000 and Salazar snap-called for the following showdown:

Vincent Lam: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Aden Salazar: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}

The rest of the board gave the {3-Diamonds} and the {k-Hearts} and Salazar took down the pot with two pair to bust Lam in fourth place for a $91,800 consolation prize.

Pulusani Flops the Nuts

Level 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Three players limped to see the {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop. Action checked over to Aden Salazar on the button, who fired for 625,000. Vincent Lam got out of the way from the small blind before Sandeep Pulusani put in the call from the big blind.

Pulusani check called a bet of 450,000 from Salazar on the {9-Clubs} turn, leading to the {3-Spades} river, which both players checked. Pulusani announced "Straight," and showed {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for the queen high straight. Salazar mucked his own hand, and the pot was Pulusani's.
