Welcome Back for Day 2 of Event #86: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship
After 10 levels were completed on the opening day of Event #86: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship, there will be at least 136 players taking their seats for Day 2 starting at 2 p.m. local time. While many people will have their eyes on who will become the World Series of Poker Main Event champion, there is still plenty of action going on throughout the Bally's and Paris Las Vegas Event Center.
A total of 349 entries were recorded on Day 1, similar to the number put up in the previous year. However, late registration will remain open until the cards go in the air today. Barry Woods topped the leaderboard, bagging up an even 400,000 chips. That stack should set him up well on his way to making the money as the day progresses.
Some other big stacks joining him at the felt include last year's Main Event final tablist Ugur Secilmis who finished with 378,000 chips. Masashi Oya rounds out the top three with a stack of 357,000 chips. Some other names to keep an eye on include Johan Guilbert (316,000), Ben Heath (311,000), and Adrian Mateos (287,000).
There should be a few more late stragglers to join the field with a starting stack of 60,000 chips before the action gets underway at 2 p.m. local time. The action will resume on Level 11 with the blinds at 1,000/2,500 and a 2,500 big blind ante. Another 10 levels are on the schedule today with the champion being crowned later tomorrow. The levels will continue to be 60 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the third level.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates so keep it tuned in here to find out who will be making a deep run.
