Levy Cracks Aces and Kings for Triple Up

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Action was picked up after Itai Levy, in the cutoff had moved all in for 13,400. The player in middle position called, before Benjamin Ane, the hijack, put in a raise to around 60,000, enough to put the middle position player all in. That player made the call, and it was a three way showdown.

Itai Levy: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Middle Position: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Benjamin Ane: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Levy was dominated by both of his opponents, and Ane seemed on the precipice of a double knockout and a massive stack. That all changed quickly when the {3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop gave Levy a set to pull ahead of both opponents. The {8-Hearts} turn and {10-Clubs} river changed nobody's hand, and the main pot went to Levy with his set, tripling his stack. The side pot went to Ane, whose aces were still good to beat middle position's kings. That middle position player was promptly sent to the rail, as Levy and Ane stacked their new chips.

Levy shared with PokerNews after the fact that he had lost a pot with a set of aces on the hand right before his triple up.
