Parminder Makes the Laydown
Level 3
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Action was picked up with 7,800 in the pot and a board of on the table. Eric Persson led out from early position for 7,000. Kumar Parminder, two seats to his left, put in the call, albeit with a bit of hesitation.
On the river, Persson fired for 15,000, sending Parminder into the tank. "You were really behind," Parminder told Persson several times, visibly disgusted at the river.
"And you're a smart man who folds when he knows he's behind," Persson responded.
After a few minutes in the tank, and a warning from another player at the table that he'd soon be calling the clock, Parminder folded, face up, showing for two pair. Persson showed him for a flopped flush.
