After nearly eight weeks of non stop poker action, the 2022 World Series of Poker in its new home at Ballys and Paris Las Vegas will draw to a close today. So far, 88 gold bracelets have been awarded during the first stop on the new location on the Las Vegas Strip and the last winner of the series will be crowned today. Out of a field of 470 entries, sixteen players remain in Event #89: Tournament of Champions.

The final tournament on the schedule, replaces the former invitation-only Global Casino Championship, was only available to ring event winners of the 2021/2022 WSOP Circuit and WSOP bracelet winners of the current summer in "Sin City" with more than three quarters of the eligible players entering the fray. The biggest portion of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool in the restricted freeroll will be awarded today.

Canada's Jonathan Woof will return to the two Horseshoe Feature tables with a stack of 2,190,000 and leads four further finalists with a seven-figure stack including Carlos Loving (1,800,000), Robert Cowen (1,685,000), and Benjamin Kaupp (1,250,000).

All of them have more than 50 big blinds at their disposal for the restart at 11 a.m. local time. The top ten also features two further 2022 WSOP bracelet winners in Yuliyan Kolev and Ali Eslami.
