Elior Sion: Q?XxXx/Q?10?A?4?

After Maxx Coleman completed, Elior Sion made it two bets to go and was called by Coleman. Sion then bet fourth and fifth streets with Coleman calling.

On sixth street after Sion bet, Coleman spent about a minute thinking before making a raise. Sion called, leaving himself 14,000 behind.

The players checked the river and Coleman showed his two pair of eights and fours, while Sion flashed his other queen which hadn't improved, before sending them to the muck.

Just a couple of hands later, Sion would be all in on third street against Chad Eveslage who made a pair of kings on sixth street, while Sion couldn't improve past ace-high and was eliminated.

Joey Couden

Joey Couden: K?K?/4?2?8?4?/A?
Alex Livingston: J?7?/7?J?3?3?/3?

Alex Livingston completed Joey Couden's bring-in and Couden defended with a short stack. On fourth street the duo exchanged bets and raises until Couden was all in for his last 20,000.

Couden's kings needed help against Livingston's two pair of jacks and sevens, and it would come on sixth street with a second pair of fours.

Livingston would need to fill up one of his three pairs on seventh and did so with the 3?. Couden couldn't improve further and he was eliminated four spots shy of the money.

Dan Zack: K?Q?/7?9?2?A?/10?
Andrew Kelsall: 8?8?/10?6?J?4?/3?
Dzmitry Urbanovich: XxXx/9?4?J? - folded fifth street

Three bets each went in on third street between a short-stacked Dan Zack, Dzmitry Urbanovich, and Andrew Kelsall.

On fourth, Kelsall bet and got called by Zack who was now all in. Urbanovich also called.

Kelsall continued betting on fifth street, and Urbanovich decided he couldn't continue into the big bet streets.

Kelsall was ahead with his buried pair of eights, but Zack had a world of outs with overcards and a flush draw.

Kelsall didn't improve by the river, nor did Zack until he rolled over the 10? on the end to make a flush to stay alive.

Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman

Nathaniel Katzoff: K?10?7?/9?Q?J?7?
Adam Friedman: XxXxXx/10?5?Q?7?
David Lieberman: XxXxXx/4?A?6?7?

Adam Friedman completed David Lieberman's bring-in and was called by Nathaniel Katzoff. Lieberman defended his bring-in as well.

Lieberman picked up an ace on fourth and led out with a bet which was called by both opponents. He bet again on fifth street and got raised by Friedman. the raise didn't shed Katzoff and Lieberman called as well.

Sixth street saw Lieberman slow down, but then he and Katzoff called a bet by Friedman.

On seventh street, Liberman checked, Friedman checked, and Katzoff now bet, prompting Friedman to pound the table in frustration.

After some thought, Lieberman made the call, and Friedman did as well, begrudgingly tossing in his calling chips.

Katzoff showed a king-high straight for the winner, with Friedman claiming he had aces up.

The defending champion was left with just 6,000 chips which would evaporate shortly after, meaning a new champion will be crowned on Wednesday.

However, shortly after, Negreanu was seen walking away from his table talking to his vlog camera.

A check-in with Zack revealed that the 2022 WSOP Player of the Year may have lost that first hand, but he quickly got revenge making trip aces versus Negreanu's two pair of eights and sevens to send "Kid Poker" to the rail.
