Play has drawn to a close on Day 2 of Event #20: $1,500 Badugi at the 2023 WSOP at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Out of an original field of 516, a total of 183 returned for the second day to play ten 60-minute levels. Once the dust settled, just 13 players remained to battle it out on Day 3.
Of those 13 players, it is Serhii Popovych who leads the way after a late night surge saw him bag an impressive 1,885,000. Not too far behind him is two-time bracelet winner and renowned sports bettor David "ODB" Baker with 1,400,000. Lee Horton rounds out the top three with 1,220,000.

Other well-known names took their seats at the start of the day but were dusted off as play progressed. They include WSOP POY frontrunner Chad Eveslage, 2021 WSOP Main Event champion Koray Aldemir, and bubble boy Brian Hastings.
The remaining 13 players have all locked up $6,923 but all eyes will be on the first-place prize of $144,678 and a prestigious WSOP gold bracelet. Play resumes on June 9th at 1 p.m. in the Horseshoe Gold section and will continue until a winner is crowned.
