In a five-way limped pot preflop on a flop showing Q?9?3?, the action checked around to James Dempsey in the cutoff who bet 700 and only Cody Mondeau in the small blind came along.
The K? peeled off on the turn and Mondeau elected to lead out for 1,000. Dempsey took a moment before tossing in a chip for the call and the dealer put out the 7? river.
Mondeau kept up the aggression with a bet of 3,200 and Dempsey went in the tank. After close to 20 seconds, Dempsey let his cards go and the pot was shipped to Mondeau without showdown.
