Lin Sends Chidwick to the Rail
Level 18
: Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
After joking he would fold his way to the final table, Ren Lin decided to get involved in the table action.
Jans Arends raised 240,000 in early position, and then Stephen Chidwick moved all in. The action folded to Lin, who was in the big blind. Lin looked at his hand and asked for a count, resulting in the dealer to declare Chidwick was in for 1,085,000. Lin then called to put Chidwick at risk, and Arends folded.
Stephen Chidwick: A?K?
Ren Lin: 10?10?
The dealer ran out 5?7?J?, on the flop to keep Lin ahead. The 10? appeared on the turn, giving Lin top set but Chidwick suddenly had a gut-shot straight draw. The 5? appeared on the river, though, to give Lin the hand and send Chidwick out of the tournament in 16th place, two from the money.
