Habeggers Can't Be Choosers
A short stacked Fernando Habegger squeezed preflop and was reraised by the player two seats to his left. Habegger obliged putting the last of his chips in, as did his opponent, who he covered.
Fernando Habegger: A?J?7?8?
Opponent: A?A?J?5?
The situation didn't look great for Habegger, as his opponent had better hearts, a pair of aces, and he had one less jack to work with. When the dealer spun the wheel, it came in favor of of Habegger as it came down 7x8x5x. The turn peeled a 6x and when the river rolled a 9x, Habegger improved again to a straight.
Habegger will be one to watch in the field, as he recently came off of a runner up finish in the $5,000 NLH/PLO Mix early in the Series.
Robert Mizrachi was also seen on an outer table quietly stacking chips and is now amongst the chip leaders.
