Himmelbrand Spikes One-Outer for Double Knockout
Short stack Bart Lybaert opened to 35,000 and then Greg Himmelbrand three-bet to 105,000 to cover him. Then Logan Trindade, in the big blind, announced he was all in for 245,000. The other two players quickly called and the cards were tabled with Himmelbrand covering both.
Bart Lybaert: K?K?J?6?
Logan Trindade: A?A?3?9?
Greg Himmelbrand: Q?Q?7?K?
"Ugh, I don't even like it!" Trindade exclaimed as he tabled his aces, well ahead of his opponents.
Trindade remained ahead through the turn 8?J?4?3?, but still needed to fade Lybaerts flush draw.
Unfortunately for them, the river came the Q? to give Himmelbrand a set of queens to scoop everything, eliminating both of his opponents.
"Wow, unbelievable, the guy has one out to win, and he hits it!" Trindade groaned as he headed to the payout desk.
