Berkey Gets Chips but Not the Bounty
A few players folded and Matt Berkey opened in middle position to 45,000. Lander Lijo was next to act and raised to 245,000 with just one big blind back. Without much thought Mark Hammond then jammed having Berkey covered. Everyone else folded and with action back on Berkey he wasted no time before going all-in himself.
Lijo now had a decision to muck his hand with all the strong action around him or stick in the chips and hope for some luck. He decided on the latter.
The three players' cards hit their backs.
Lander Lijo: 7?7?
Matt Berkey: Q?Q?
Mark Hammond: A?K?
The flop looked clean for Berkey with 10?3?4?. No sweat on the board pairing 3? but the 7? river drilled the set for Lijo. Berkey would still win a big side pot to chip up but no bounty in this hand.
