Sarle Hits the Turn to Dent Stephan's Stack
Limit Hold'em
Christopher Stephan raised from the cutoff before Dominick Sarle three-bet in the small blind. Stephan called before the big blind had a chance to act, and the big blind came along as they went three-handed to the flop.
The dealer turned over 8?3?5? and Sarle led out with a bet. Both players called to the J? turn, where Sarle bet again and both called once more.
The river came the Q? and Sarle bet. The big blind called, but Stephan raised this time. Sarle came back with a reraise and the big blind got out of the way, but Stephan called.
Sarle turned over K?10? for the turned flush. "Wait, wait," Stephan said as he held onto his cards for a few seconds before releasing them.
"When you lose with a set you have to double check," Stephan added.
