Filippi Plays It Bad, Still Wins
Pot-Limit Omaha
Michael Dobbs raised to 3,500 from the button and Amnon Filippi called in the big blind.
The flop came 8?6?K? and Filippi checked over to Dobbs, who bet 5,300. Filippi tanked for a moment before he tossed in a call.
Both players checked the 9? turn before Filippi led out for 8,000 on the 10? river. Now it was Dobbs' turn to tank before he called.
"I played this hand as bad as I could possibly play it," Filippi said as he first turned over K?10?. "Do you have a straight," Filippi asked, but Dobbs only showed K?10? for the same two pair.
Filippi then turned over the K? for top set. "Sorry, I didn't mean to slowroll you," he told Dobbs as he took the pot.
"I probably would've gone away. You actually played it perfectly," Dobbs replied.
Scott Bohlman and Scott Clements are both sitting with big stacks at this table.
