Welcome to Day 3 of Event: #4 Tournament of Champions at the 2023 World Series of Poker. Cards go in the air at 12 p.m. for the finale of this three-day event.

A field of 31 players will return after 747 entries turned out at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for the invitation-only gathering of WSOP winners from throughout the last year. Theyre all guaranteed $5,400 from the $1,000,000 prize pool and the winner will take home the top prize of $200,000 and a WSOP gold bracelet.

Michigans Scott Wilson leads the way with 2,885,000 chips and Brent Gregory sits in second as the only other player over the two million mark. Wilson won his way into the tournament with a victory in the opening event of WSOP.coms May online Circuit in his home state.

Dakota Britton and Vincent Moscati sit above one million in third and fourth, while New Yorks Katelin Koper rounds out the top five. Britton won back-to-back events on WSOP MI during a February Circuit series to claim his spot in the TOC and Moscati joined the field with his eighth ring in a victory at the Harrahs Cherokee stop in February. Koper qualified for the tournament in the Ladies Event at the WSOP Circuit stop at Turning Stone Resort in March.

Also among the returning players is Jason Somerville. The former streamer and permanent gold bracelet winner will come back with 405,000 to chase his second title. Somerville last triumphed in 2011 in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament.

Players will return in Level 21 with blinds at 10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 ante. Play is scheduled to continue until a winner is declared, but that is subject to change with the timing of a live-streamed final table on PokerGO.

Stay tuned for live updates and scheduling changes from PokerNews throughout the day from the floor of the Tournament of Champions at the 2023 WSOP.

Hotte-Mckinnon Strikes Against the Chip Leader Early

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Scott Wilson

The action picks up on the 2? turn for a board of 9?J?3?2? and around 300,000 in the pot. Chip leader Scott Wilson checked over to Justin Hotte-Mckinnon in late position who checked back.

The river brought the J? to pair the board and this time Wilson bet 240,000. Hotte-Mckinnon thought for a moment and announced "all in," before moving his remaining 655,000 behind into the middle.

After a few moments in the tank, Wilson ultimately decided to make the call and saw the bad news.

Justin Hotte-Mckinnon: A?10?
Scott Wilson: Q?J?

Mckinnon's flush wiped out Wilson's trips, taking him down a peg in the counts.

In other news around the room, both Brian Gatliff and Ryan Tillmann have exited the tournament.

Lemery Eliminates Alati

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Richard Alati moved his short stack into the middle and was met by an immediate reshove from Dylan Lemery to his left. The rest of the table got out of the way, leaving Alati heads-up for his tournament life.

Richard Alati: 10?10?
Dylan Lemery: A?K?

Alati's pocket pair was ahead until the 8?A?J? flop gave Lemery top pair. The 7? turn and 8? river were no help, as Alati wished the table good luck on his way to the payout desk.

The remaining 27 players will now combine into the final three tables.

Dakota Britton Eliminated in 27th Place ($5,400)

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Dakota Britton
Dakota Britton

Dakota Britton raised in middle position and was promptly three-bet by Jacob Long to his left. The action folded back around to Britton, who announced all in. Long snap-called and tabled his cards.

Dakota Britton: K?J?
Jacob Long: A?A?

Britton was well behind Long's aces, with the 4?A?8?2?4? runout changing nothing. Britton shook hands on his way to the payout table, eliminated in 27th place.

Vincent Moscati Eliminated in 26th Place ($6,400)

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action folded around to Vincent Moscati in the small blind, who completed. In the big blind, Brent Gregory raised to 75,000 and Moscati reraised all in. Gregory quickly called.

Vincent Moscati: A?3?
Brent Gregory: A?9?

Gregory, with the dominating hand, was in even better shape after making second pair on a flop of 9?10?6?, all but closing the door for Moscati.

The turn 6? would close it completely and after the inconsequential K? river, Moscati would head to the rail in 26th place.
