Kost Takes the "Pot of the Tournament"

Level 17 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Big O

"I just won the pot of the tournament," Nick Kost said after taking out Sam Farha and doubling up off Mark Erickson.

According to Kost, he potted to 26,000 with AxAx8x7x4x with two clubs and Farha and Erickson both called.

The flop came Jx9x6x with two clubs and Kost bet 80,000. Farha called all in for 60,000, while Erickson also called. Kost moved all in for 65,000 on the 4? turn and Erickson called with KxQx10x9x6x for a wrap.

The river came a Jx and Kost took the entire massive pot to eclipse 400,000.

Kost was still raking up those chips and he got involved in another pre-flop all in, this time against Bastien Joly.

Joly was all in for 40,000 with A?A?Q?5?3? while Kost had A?J?J?10?3?. Joly stayed in the lead on the 2?7?Q?10? board, but Kost hit the J? on the river to make a set.

"Come on," Joly said in frustration before making his exit.
