Johnson Bags Chip Lead Going Into Day 2 Of Mixed Triple Draw
Event #52: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw saw a bigger turnout than last years iteration of the event, with 353 compared to last years 309. This first day saw a $783,200 prize pool created, guaranteeing the final 53 a minimum of $4,069, with all eyes on $181,978 for first place.
Topping of the chip counts was two-time WSOP bracelet winner Marco Johnson, who bagged 228,500. The California resident has already secured seven cashes at the 2023 World Series of Poker and one final table. Johnsons bracelets have come in No-Limit Holdem and H.O.R.S.E, but he has proven to all of his peers his proficiency in all forms of poker, having recently enjoyed a deep run in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship. With this bag today and his wealth of experience, he looks to add to his already decorated resume.
