Two Pair Helps Gray Secure Pot
Level 4
: Limits 500/1,000, 0 ante
William Gray's two pair proved more than enough to take down a pot shortly after the first break.
Gray limped in early position, only to see a player in late position raise. The button and small blind folded, and then the big blind and Gray called, bringing the action to the flop, which produced 8?3?A?.
The big blind and Gray checked, placing the action on the late-position player, who promptly bet. The big blind folded, but Gray called. The 2? hit the the turn and both players checked to the river, where the dealer placed 8? on the board.
Gray led out with the bet, and the late-position player called only to see Gray’s A?2? for two pair. The player then folded his hand as the dealer pushed the pot to Gray.
