Klein’s Triple-Barrel Bets Strong Enough to Take Down Pot
Bill Klein, who recently scored an 18th-place finish in the WSOP High-Roller (6-handed) event, made an immediate splash after the second break of his current tournament.
Klein was on the button and squared off against the player in the small blind and a player under the gun on a flop of 7?10?J?. The action checked to Klein, who bet and saw both of his opponents quickly make calls.
The turn produced 4? and once again checks from the other two out-of-position players, and Klein placed another bet, which his opponents called. The dealer placed 6? on the board, putting either a possible flush or two straights in any of the players’ hands.
But checks from the players in the small blind and under the gun opened the door for Klein to make a third bet, which led to folds from each of his opponent.
