Hellmuth Forces De Silva to Fold

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action was checked to Phil Hellmuth under the gun with the flop coming 2?7?4?. Hellmuth bet 34,000, and Upeshka De Silva called from the big blind.

The 6? came on the turn, and De Silva checked once more. Hellmuth announced a bet of 66,000, which De Silva matched.

The Q? came on the river, and Hellmuth found action checked to him again. He moved all in for his last 91,000. De Silva counted out his own chips and considered his next move for over a minute.

"Nice hand," said De Silva as he eventually tossed his cards into the muck.

Double for Deeb

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Shaun Deeb moved all in preflop from middle position and was called by the small blind to put him at risk.

Shaun Deeb: A?K?
Small Blind: J?10?

The board on the turn read 7?3?Q?9? to make it a sweat, as Deeb had a flush draw but his opponent had an open-ended straight draw. Fortunately for Deeb, the 3? on the river gave him the flush and secured his victory for the double-up.

A Simple Request from Pausher

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The action was picked up as Jeff Howsenbold and Evan Pausher got all the chips into the middle preflop, with Howsenbold at risk.

Jeff Howsenbold: A?Q?
Evan Pausher: 10?10?

"Oh, it's a race!" Howsenbold declared as the cards were tabled, "Put an ace in the window!"

"Give me four tens, please," Pausher asked the dealer nicely.

The flop came out a loaded 10?J?K? to give Pausher a set of tens but gave Howsenbold Broadway for the lead.

"Pair the board!" Pausher yelled, and just like that, the 10? smacked down on the turn to give Pausher quads, just as he asked.

The board completed with the meaningless 5? and Howsenbold was speechless as his bounty was shipped over to Pausher along with the rest of the pot.

Unfortunately, Pausher was eliminated the very next hand, although "he got it in good," according to tablemate Shaun Deeb.

Lijo Ends Jamasi's Night

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Lander Lijo raised to 21,000 from the small blind. Farhad Jamasi, the big blind, reraised all in for his last 39,000, which Lijo called.

Farhad Jamasi: Q?J?
Lander Lijo: A?10?

Jamasi moved ahead on the J?6?10? flop, and improved to two pair on the Q? turn. Lijo picked up a Broadway draw with that queen, though, and the K? river completed it to eliminate Jamasi.
