A Hand Speaks for Itself
Level 12
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
This hand was relayed to PokerNews by Spencer Simpson:
Two players saw a board with three clubs that paired the board with a king on the river. Simpson bet 10,000 and when he was called, he tabled his hand and declared aces up, showing A?A?9?2?. His opponent tabled a straight and the pot was awarded to him.
However, before his hand was mucked, with the board already in the muck he realized he had a flush and the floor was called.
Upon confirmation of the board from a player who wasn't in the pot the floor and dealer backtracked the bets and awarded him a pot worth about 97,000.
