Beresford Eliminated a Short While After Hero Call Goes Wrong
Level 17
: 1,000/2,500, 0 ante
Gabor Szabo opened the button to 4,000 to be met by a three-bet to 17,500 from Conor Beresford. Szabo called and they went to a flop.
As the board ran out J?3?7?A?4? Beresford barrelled all three streets for 17,500, 50,000, and 60,000 respectively. Each was called by Szabo until the river bet to which he reraised all in for his remaining 200,000. This sent Beresford deep into the tank as he burnt through several time banks before making his decision. Beresford called and Szabo was first to reveal his hand, K?10? for the stone-cold nuts. Beresford conceding the pot showed A?K? for a no-good top pair.
Left with a mere 22,000 behind, Beresford was eliminated a short while later.
