Michael Moncek Eliminated in 11th Place ($52,336)

Level 22
Michael Moncek
Michael Moncek

Omaha Hi-Lo

Michael Moncek raised under the gun. Yingui Li was next to act and put in the third bet. Moncek called.

The 5?3?7? flop landed and Moncek bet. Li called and they were off to a turn which brought the 10?. Moncek put in the last of his chips and Li called.

The cards hit their backs.

Michael Moncek: A?5?5?8?
Yingui Li: A?K?4?3?

Moncek was far in the lead for the high with a set of fives but it was looking like a chop with the low going to Li. That was until the river landed a brutal 2? to give Li the wheel and send Moncek to the rail in devastating fashion.

Matusow Leaves Moncek With Crumbs

Level 22

Limit Hold'em

The board was 3?10?4?8? with a sizable pot already in the middle. Michael Moncek bet from the big blind and Mike Matusow raised from the button. Moncek re-raised and Mautsow called.

Both players checked on the 2? river and Moncek said, "You're good," prompting Matusow to show 4?4? for a flopped set.

Moncek mucked and was left with just a bit over 200,000 following the hand.

Limit Hold'em

Yingui Li raised under the gun and Brian Hastings three-bet from the cutoff. Dan Heimiller then four-bet from the small blind and Li folded back to Hastings, who called all in.

Brian Hastings: 9?9?
Dan Heimiller: A?K?

The 4?2?2? flop and 5? turn were safe for Hastings, but the 3? river gave Heimiller a wheel — eliminating Hastings in 12th place.

Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Seven Card Stud

Josh Arieh: 9?9?/6?3?8?K?/Q?
Joao Vieira: A?K?/9?7?3?4?/Q?

Josh Arieh and Joao Vieira both found themselves on fourth street after the bring in folded. Vieira check-called a bet from Arieh.

On fifth street Vieira checked, Arieh Bet, and Vieira took the initiative and check-raised. Arieh only thought for a moment before calling.

Sixth street landed and Arieh check-called a bet from Vieira. Seventh was pitched and Arieh checked once more. Vieira bet one last time.

Arieh went into the tank for over three minutes before eventually making the call. Vieira tabled Ace-high and Arieh proudly tabled a pair of nines for a great bluff catch.

Arieh is now firmly in the chip lead.
