Normand Spends the First Hand in the Blender

The action folded around to the small blind who limped in and Frederic Normand raised to 800 in the big blind. His opponent called and the flop came Q?J?7?. The small blind checked to Normand who bet 400 and his opponent called.

The turn brought the 4? and the small blind checked again. Normand sized up a bet of 1,600 this time and his opponent still called. The river was the 10? and the small blind instantly led out with a bet of 3,000. Normand went into the tank for well over three minutes on the first hand.

"Sorry guys," he said after a couple of minutes which got some chuckles from the table. Normand eventually called and his opponent showed K? for a missed flush draw while Normand held 4?4? for a set of fours.
