Lococo Out After Getting Kings Cracked
Level 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Alejandro Lococo opened to 1,600 from under the gun and Steve Wakeman defended from the big blind.
Both players checked the K?8?6? flop leading to the Q? on the turn. Wakeman bet 2,000 and Lococo made the call.
Wakeman fired again on the A? river, this time for 4,000. Lococo raised to 16,000 and Wakeman quickly made the call.
Lococo tabled K?K? for top set on the flop but Wakeman revealed J?2? for a jack-high flush to take the pot down, leaving Lococo short-stacked with about 12,000 chips left.
Lococo was eliminated a few hands later. According to the players at his table, he got his last chips in with 10x8x suited on a ten-high flop against pocket queens and failed to improve.
