Sisler Finds Miracle Runout To Stay Alive
A player in middle position opened to 3,500 and Scott Sisler moved all in for 8,100 in the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and the initial raiser made the call to put Sisler at risk.
Scott Sisler: K?Q?
Middle Position: 10?7?
Sisler was slightly out front, but would need to dodge the live cards for his opponent. When the flop fanned out 10?7?6?, it looked like the end was near for Sisler who would need running cards to find a win.
The turn fell the 9? to give some hope with a gut-shot straight draw, and the miracle river fell the J? to complete the straight for Sisler to double up in dramatic fashion.
The whole table was shocked. "He hit four rivers to stay alive now," said a tablemate explaining that Sisler found luck before with the river.
"We're going to call you the river monster," joked another player at the table while Sisler collected the pot.
