Ryder Catches a Miracle With the Same Hand
Richard Ryder opened to 300,000 from under the gun before Alexander Villa three-bet to 900,000 in the hijack. Ryder then came back with a reraise to 2,200,000.
Villa announced he was all in and Ryder went deep in the tank. He asked Villa how much he had behind, but Villa remained motionless staring back at him until Ryder finally called.
Richard Ryder: A?K?
Alexander Villa: A?K?
"That's what I was hoping you had," Ryder said upon seeing he and Villa shared the same hand and appeared heading for a chop.
"I was trying to get you to fold," Villa replied.
The flop came 8?K?2? and Ryder suddenly picked up a flush draw. The flush came in on the Q? turn as he ran away from the table and loudly clapped his hands together. Villa was already drawing dead heading to the 9? river.
The stacks were counted down and Ryder had 8,325,000 remaining. Villa barely had him covered and handed over most of his stack.
