Rowe Gets Aggressive

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

There was a early position open to 1,000. He got a call from middle position, the button, and Hugh Rowe in the small blind.

The flop landed K?7?Q? and action checked the whole way through.

The turn brought a 4? and action checked to the middle position player who bet 3,000. The button called and action was on Rowe in the small blind. Rowe gathered some chips and put in the check-raise to 8,000.

The rest of the players all sat in the tank for a moment but each one came to the same conclusion. Fold.

Rowe scooped to get back closer to starting stack.

Martini's Boat Gets Called by Ace-High

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Julien Martini was heads-up with Paul Serrate with a completed board of 8?5?5?3?3? spread across the felt. There was around 25,000 in the middle and Serrate checked to Martini who shoved all in as the bigger stack.

Serrate was sitting on a stack of 53,000 and had a decision to make for his tournament life. "I want to call you with ace-high," he said to Martini but got no reaction. Three minutes passed by and Serrate agonized some more before making the call.

Martini rolled over 8?8? for a full house which made Serrate throw his A?10? face up in disgust before exiting the tournament area.
