Amsellem Shows the Aces

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Paul Amsellem raised to 1,300 from early position and got called by the big blind leading to a 5?Q?9? flop.

The big blind checked, and Amsellem tossed out a bet of 2,000. The big blind put in the call and sent both players to the 8? turn card.

The big blind checked once again, and Amsellem continued with another bet, this time to 6,000.

The big blind tossed his cards in the muck, and Amsellem showed the A?A? to a few friends watching from the rail as they all clapped and cheered him on in dragging another pot.

Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

The action was picked up on the turn with four players and the board reading K?A?Q?8?. A player in early position and another in middle position checked, and Alex Foxen bet 8,000, receiving a call from a player on the button while folding out the other two players.

Foxen fired again on the 2? river, this time for 25,000. After some deliberation, the button mucked their hand, and Foxen took down another nice pot uncontested.

Aguero Misses His Freeroll

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Former professional footballer Sergio Aguero was spotted hiding in the Horseshoe blue section after making his way into the field midway through the day. Aguero was highly regarded as one of the best strikers of his generation while playing in the Premier League for Manchester City.

Aguero raised it up to 1,500 in middle position, and Michael Monroig three-bet to 4,200 on the button. Aguero called and they went heads-up to a flop of 5?4?2?.

Aguero checked to Monroig, who continued with a bet of 5,500, and Aguero called. The turn brought the 10?, and both players checked to the 9? on the river. Two more checks and Aguero tabled A?J?, the same hand as Monroig with A?J?, but Aguero picked up a freeroll on the turn.

Radanov Traps Comisso

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Michael Comisso opened to 1,500 from under the gun and was called by the cutoff and Damjan Radanov in the blinds.

On the flop 2?9?6?, Comisso bet another 3,000. It was too much for the cutoff, who folded, but not for Radanov, who called.

The 8? came on the turn, and both players checked. There was no action either on the river 4?. However, Comisso was quite surprised when he saw A?K? in Radanov's hand. Comisso mucked his cards and let the pot go to Radanov.
