Aguilera's Boat Gets Paid in Full

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action was picked up on the river with the board reading 2?Q?8?Q?2? and about 20,000 in the pot. Jose Ignacio Aguilera had bet 25,000 from early position sending his opponent who was on the button into the tank.

Eventually, with a resigned look on his face, the button flicked in a calling chip.

Aguilera tabled Q?8? for a full house to take down a decent pot.

"You Checked the River"?

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player in middle position raised to 3,500 and the button and Brett Shaffer from the big blind both called. The flop came out 7?4?7? and the original raiser bet 4,000 after Shaffer checked. The button folded and Shaffer made the call.

The turn brought the 5? and the original raiser continued betting and made it 12,000 and Shaffer called.

On the river Shaffer checked and the middle position player checked. Shaffer said, "You checked the river?", incredulously. Shaffer turned over 9?9? for the full house and the middle position player quickly flashed 8x8x.

Benny Glaser
Benny Glaser

With the seat of Benny Glaser empty, PokerNews caught up with his former table as they recounted his bust-out hand.

While Glaser was nursing a short stack for most of the day, the start of level nine saw his chips fluctuate up and down until ultimately his main event journey came to an end. With all the money in the middle preflop against opponent Dirk Perdrix, Glaser was at risk.

Benny Glaser: A?10?
Dirk Perdrix: 8x8x

The board ran out Ax8xQx5x7x. While Glaser flopped top pair, it was no good against the set of Perdrix sending him to the rail.

Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

With around 30,000 in the pot on a flop of K?6?8?, a player on the button bet 12,000 and Tom Dwan called from the big blind.

Both players checked the 4? turn before the 2? fell on the river. Dwan then led out with 40,000.

His opponent took out his earphones and began wiggling around in his seat as he considered the decision, eventually leaning over the table to get a good look at the board. He called after several minutes and Dwan turned over K?K? for top set.

"That will do," someone yelled out from the rail as Dwan raked in another big pot.

Bahr Rips it Pre

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Andrew Kelsall raised 3,000 in early position and Jacob Mitich called next to act, followed by the small blind before Anthony Bahr pushed his entire stack across the line. Kelsall folded quickly but Mitich went deep in the tank.

After about two minutes, Mitich pushed his cards forward and the small blind snap-folded behind. Bahr opted not to show the table even though they requested.

"Looks like ace-king all day," Said Kelsall.
