Neff Gets Revenge on Mizrachi Two Years Later

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Peter Neff
Peter Neff

Peter Neff raised 9,000 in the hijack before Robert Mizrachi jammed in the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Neff asked for a count. After hearing it was 42,500, he made the call.

Robert Mizrachi: 7?7?
Peter Neff: A?8?

Two years prior, Mizrachi had eliminated Neff in the Main Event, so Neff was looking to even it out as they went to the races.

The K?9?4? flop was looking promising for Mizrachi, as his sevens were still in the lead. The J? turn gave Neff some extra outs as he picked up a flush draw and the 6? river completed the flush as Mizrachi was sent to the rail.

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Two players were looking at a board of 2?Q?K?. The player in the big blind checked the action over to Amrinder Binepal on the button, who bet out for 7,000. The big blind called.

The 9? fell on the turn and the action repeated, this time Binepal betting 19,000.

The 7? river saw one last check from the big blind. Binepal bet out for 45,000 and his opponent eventually folded.

Aaron Frei: A?A?
Middle Position: K?K?

Frei's happiness quickly turned into horror when the flop came J?8?K?, giving his opponent a set. The 10? turn gave him additional outs, and the Q? gave Frei Broadway to win the hand and double up.

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

Robert Nash raised to 8,500 from middle position and Allen Kessler three-bet to 23,500 from the next seat over. The action folded back to Nash, who jammed all in for 75,000 chips, and Kessler made the call.

Robert Nash: A?K?
Allen Kessler: K?K?

Nash would flop a Broadway draw on 7?10?Q?, but the necessary jack remained absent on the 5?Q? runout.

Nash was eliminated while Kessler almost doubled up.

"I only play kings and aces," Kessler commented after the fact.

Bohlman Gets Picked Off

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Picking up the action on the flop, Scott Bohlman in the cutoff was involved in a hand with a player in middle position. With the board reading 8?9?4? action checked to Bohlman and he fired off 10,000. His opponent made the call.

Both players checked through the 8? turn to the 2? river at which point the middle position player checked once more. Bohlman decided to go for the overbet, pushing 50,000 into a pot of around 40,000. That sizing appeared to make his opponent uncomfortable but the middle position player did eventually find a call. Bohlman could only muster J?10? for the missed straight draw, falling to the A?9? of his opponent.

Aziz Catches Garcia Bluffing

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Heads-up on a board of 3?8?6?9?, Ryan Garcia bet 10,000 from the big blind and Renan Aziz called in early position.

The river came the 3? and Garcia fired out another 32,000. Aziz spent some time in the tank before throwing in a call as Garcia tapped the felt and showed J?7? for a busted draw. Aziz had 10?8? for a pair of eights to win the pot.

Despite dropping that pot, Garcia is still sitting on around 450,000, a vast improvement from late on Day 2 when he had just 7,000. Austin Yoo at the same table currently has 664,000.
