Ferro Gets the Double

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A player opened to 12,000 from under the gun and was called by Yuri Dzivielevski in middle position. Jose Ferro then three-bet to 40,000 from late position before the under the gun player moved all in. Dzivielevski got out of the way while Ferro called off for his remaining chips.

Jose Ferro: A?A?
Under the Gun Player: A?K?

Ferro was in about as good spot as you can be prior to any community cards being dealt but the 5?K?J? did give his opponent some, albeit very limited in number, outs. The 9? turn changed nothing with the 6? river completing a clean runout for the rockets to hand Ferro a crucial double near the bubble.

Constare Gets Paid with a Flush

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Oghenovo 'Novo' Constare raised 15,000 in the hijack and the cutoff made the call, before Faraz Jaka came along in the big blind.

All three players tapped the table on the K?10?5? flop and the J? peeled on the turn.

Jaka checked, and Constare fired a bet of 32,000. The cutoff thought about it for about 20 seconds before putting in a raise to 87,000. Jaka quickly folded and Constare made the call.

The 7? landed on the river and Constare took the lead, firing three green chips across the line for a bet of 75,000. His opponent tanked for some time, cutting out the 75,000 of his 131,000 total and then stacking it back up. After another 30 seconds, he made the call.

Constare tabled K?8?, for a flush on the river and his opponent whipped his cards into the muck.

Jaraiz Shoves the River

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jose Jaraiz and an opponent under the gun built a pot of around 150,000 heading to the river and the board showing Q?3?K?J?8?. The under-the-gun player then fired out 100,000.

Jaraiz, in middle position, responded by moving all in for 257,000, sending his opponent deep in the tank. The minutes ticked by as he anguished over the decision.

"One more minute and I'm calling the clock," tablemate Daniel Vampan eventually said. He decided to call for most of his stack as Jaraiz turned over Q?Q? for a set, securing the pot when his opponent mucked.

Livshitz Gets the Maximum

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A player in the hijack raised to 12,000, Gabi Livshitz three-bet to 40,000 and the original raiser called.

A flop of A?10?J? checked through to the 2? on the turn. The hijack took the lead for 40,000 and Livshitz called.

The 4? river slowed down the hijack and the action was checked to Livshitz, who bet out for 35,000. The hijack responded with a raise to 120,000 and Livshitz snap-called.

Hijack: 3?3?
Gabi Livshitz: A?K?

Livshitz picked off the river raise with ease and won a big pot.

Tardif Eliminates One as Bubble Looms

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Patrick Tardif
Patrick Tardif

Patrick Tardif raised to 13,000 from middle position and the player in the big blind made the call. On the K?8?8? flop, Tardif continued for 8,000 and received another call.

The turn came the J? and Tardif upped the ante to a massive overbet of 45,000. Once again, the big blind check-called.

The river 4? completed the board and the big blind checked for the third time. This time, Tardif threw enough T-25,000 chips in the middle to put the big blind's stack of 105,000 all in.

The big blind thought for a while and eventually tossed in the call for his tournament life. Tardif tabled A?K? for two pair, and that was the winner when the big blind showed K?7? for the same two pair but with a worse kicker.

The big blind was eliminated and Tardif won a big pot around the bubble.

Dhaliwal Is Not a Prick

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Paul Dhaliwal moved all in for his last 52,000 from the small blind. Jacob Lonis, the big blind, made the call.

Paul Dhaliwal: A?10?
Jesse Lonis: A?K?

Dhaliwal would need help to remain in the tournament, and the 10?J?2? provided that help as he paired his ten. The 4? turn and 2? river did nothing to change the outcome, and Dhaliwal remained alive.

"At least you're not a prick," said Lonis, joking with Dhaliwal. "I need people to see how unlucky I am!" added Lonis.
