Kyte Has the Wind in His Sails

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jon Kyte, on the button, was heads up with an opponent in the big blind. The opponent checked on the flop of 4?2?Q? and Kyte put out a bet of 35,000.

The big blind then check-raised to 120,000, which made Kyte consider his options. After a little while, he made a raise big enough to put his opponent's 400,000 chip stack at risk.

The big blind smiled, shook his head, and mucked his cards. Kyte lept over the two million mark as the Norwegian player is cruising along on Day 4.

Iaron Lightbourne raised to 28,000 in the hijack and Mitchell Halverson three-bet to 85,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Lightbourne who stuck in a four-bet to 283,000. Halverson responded with a five-bet all-in, putting Lightbourne to the test for an additional 650,000 chips.

"This might be it guys," Lightbourne said as he removed his sunglasses. Lightbourne went into the tank for roughly two minutes but finally came to the conclusion of laying his hand down.

Big Double Up for Holzner through Li

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Pei Li
Pei Li

It folded to Daniel Holzner on the button who bet 25,000 before Pei Li made a three-bet to 80,000 in the small blind. Holzner replied with a four-bet to 205,000 and Li made the call.

The flop revealed 7?4?Q? and Li checked to Holzner who continued for 150,000. Li thought about his move for some time and tossed a pile of 100,000-chip in front of him, putting Holzner at risk. The latter snap called for a remaining stack of 514,000 and they tabled their cards:

Daniel Holzner: A?A?
Pei Li: K?10?

Holzner was in great shape for the double up, and he took down the large pot after the 6? and the A? completed the board, improving his hand into a set of aces.

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With about 60,000 in the middle the flop was K?10?4?, and Joseph Maloney check-raised Rene Majed's bet of 25,000 to 65,000. Majed made the call.

The 3? hit the turn, and Maloney fired another bet of 117,000, which was called.

When the 6? completed the board, Maloney stacked up a bet of 265,000 and pushed it across the line. Majed thought about it for some time, asking how much Maloney had behind. Maloney had about 170,000 remaining and Majed paid the bet.
