Hynam Eliminated by Harder

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Mitchell Hynam moved all-in for 160,000 in the cutoff and he was called two ways by Linglin Zeng in the small blind and Christian Harder in the big blind.

The 8?6?5? flop saw Zeng check-fold and the showdown proceeded.

Mitchell Hynam: K?J?
Christian Harder: 6?6?

Hynam was drawing to running cards for a chop only and it was all over on the K? turn to make the 3? river a formality.

Klein Doubles

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Shortly after losing a massive pot to Ryan Brown, Bill Klein moved all in for his last 385,000 from under the gun and was looked up by Matthew Wantman in the cutoff.

Bill Klein: J?9?
Matthew Wantman: K?K?

Klein was in rough shape and would need to overcome a large equity deficit to survive. The 2?2?A? flop did give him a flush draw, one that came in immediately on the 3? turn. Needing to fade deuces and kings heading to the river, Klein was able to do just that with the 6? completing the board to hand the at-risk player a full double.

Tosoc Sets a Trap

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Christopher Trang opened to 50,000 from under the gun and Ryan Tosoc called from early position. Andrew Batey moved all in from the button for 540,000. Trang folded and Tosoc quickly made the call and mentioned that he had a big hand.

Andrew Batey: 8?8?
Ryan Tosoc: K?K?

The board ran out Q?9?A?Q?7? and Batey was sent to the rail while Tosoc added to his stack which is now approaching 6,000,000

Lourenco Takes a Rough Beat Against Jones

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Steven Jones got his stack of 795,000 in preflop with the A?4? and he was a huge underdog against the A?K? of Hilton Lourenco.

Both players paired their kicker on the K?7?4? flop and Jones pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the 4? turn. The A? river only further improved Jones to a full house and he left his opponent disgusted.

"I don't think you gonna be welcome in Brazil," Sam Stein joked towards Jones.

Muhire Sent Packing by Dickerson

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jules Dickerson opened to 50,000 from the cutoff and then called with the covering stack after Bernard Muhire moved all in for 465,000 out of the small blind.

Bernard Muhire: K?J?
Jules Dickerson: A?3?

Muhire was behind but did have two live cards. The 7?5?3? flop kept Dickerson in the lead, one that he maintained on the 2? turn and 6? river to bring Muhire's tournament to a close.

Joe Hachem and Chris Moneymaker

There will be no "Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oy! Oy! Oy!" at the final table of the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Joe Hachem and Chris Moneymaker both busted early on Day 5, guaranteeing the eventual winner will be a first-time champion.

Tuesday's session began with 441 players, including the two aforementioned previous champs. Moneymaker famously won it in 2003, which helped spark a massive poker boom. Hachem, the Australian poker legend took it down in 2005 when he defeated Steve Dannenmann heads-up.
