In the 840th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway is joined by Kyle Anderson and Connor Richards at Level 9 in Las Vegas and talk about latest from the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and about the highly-entertaining Hustler Casino Live (HCL) 'Legends of the Felt' live-streamed cash game.
Highlights include a cooler flop between the NBA's Jimmy Butler and Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr., professional streamer Richard Tyler Blevins (AKA Ninja) slow-rolling boxer Ryan Garcia, and an insane hand involving Neymar Jr. and Alan Keating that saw more than $300K change hands after the river was run out an astounding eight times! You have to believe it to see it.
Meanwhile, the WSOP rolled on by crowning a plethora of bracelet winnings including Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen, who not only won the $100K High Roller but went on to nearly take down the $250K Super High Roller in a week most players can only dream of. Speaking of that SHR, Santhosh Suvarna defeated Ben Tollerene to take down that tournament for $5,415,152 and his second gold bracelet.
Other bracelet winners discussed include Chris Vitch, Maksim Pisarenko, Frank Funaro, and Yuri Dzivielevski, among others.

Congratulations to Silma Macalou for topping Week 4 of the PokerNews Deepstack Challenge. Macalou finished with 820 points, two more than Matan Barkat in second place and three ahead of third-place finisher Chuan Ooi; it was a race to the top that went down to the wire!

Amidst the excitement of the 2024 World Series of Poker, the PokerNews Deepstack Challenge (PNDC) has been making waves at Horseshoe and Paris in Las Vegas.
For those new to the scene, PokerNews has revamped this summer��s Daily Deepstacks, shining a spotlight on the unsung heroes of low-stakes poker and dedicated amateurs. To further entice these bedrock poker fans, PokerNews has stumped up 40 tickets through a leaderboard promotion to our exclusive bracelet event, the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship.
Every week, the top ten players on the leaderboard earn one of these coveted tickets and with the first week already concluded, be sure to dive into the highlights from Week 1!
Wrap up your day with some thrilling poker action! The final Daily Deepstack of the day kicks off at 8 p.m. as a single-day showdown. With a $200 buy-in, you'll start with a 20,000 stack of chips.
For those who like to make a dramatic entrance, late registration is open until the start of Level 6 (approx 10:20 p.m.), and you can reenter as many times as you want until then. Each level lasts 20 minutes, with plenty of 15-minute breaks throughout the evening.
Blinds start at 100/100, and the big blind ante is in play right from the start. If this event runs long, the tournament director reserves the right to suspend play and resume the following day.
The PokerNews Deepstack Challenge (PNDC) has entered its fourth and final week, with the results from Week 3 leaderboard all in the books.
New Zealand poker player Charlie Hawes became the first non-American to win the weekly leaderboard, which sends the best ten players into the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship bracelet event.
Hawes followed in the footsteps of Raymond Chiu and Duy Ho, who topped the leaderboard in Week 1 and Week 2 and was the latest recipient of a PNDC trophy.
Poker superstar Olga Iermolcheva also found herself in the Daily Deepstack streets and dominated her respective field to walk away with a five-figure haul along with a PNDC winner's coin.
Several of the PokerNews Deepstack Challenge winner card protectors have already been handed out, with Canada's Simmy Mok being the first beneficiary. She triumphed in the opening Daily Deepstack of the series, but it's been quite the journey for Mok, whose passion for poker came from very humble beginnings.
Mok's route into poker began 24 years ago when she was nursing her son. With a newborn, Mok found herself awake through various stages of the night, and while tending to her baby's needs, she started channel-flicking through the television.
Poker then became a saving grace for the Canadian as a major event seven caused huge changes in her day-to-day life.
