Martinelli Jams in the Dark, Doubles Up
Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw
David Bach raised to 50,000 in the hijack and the action folded to Michael Martinelli in the big blind, who made it 160,000 to go. Bach committed the extra chips and both players drew one card.
Martinelli then potted for 350,000 chips without having looked at his drawn card and Bach called, after which both drew one again.
Another blind bet followed from Martinelli, this time an all-in one for 400,000. Bach took some time to think about it but ultimately made the call.
Martinelli accidentally revealed his cards, thinking that three draws had already been had, but once it was cleared up that the final draw still needed to take place, he drew one, as did Bach.
Michael Martinelli: 8x5x3x2x
David Bach: 5x4x3x2x
The players agreed to flip up their drawn cards at the same time. Martinelli turned over a 7x for an eight-low, beating the Jx for a jack-low of Bach.
Martinelli received a huge double-up, leaving Bach as the shortest stack on the table.
